What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are young vegetable greens harvested at an early stage—typically just after the first leaves develop. Despite their small size, they are packed with flavor, texture, and nutrients.

They’re not sprouts, and they’re not full-grown plants—they fall right in between, offering a concentrated version of what the plant will become.

At F5 Farm, our microgreens are grown in a controlled environment using clean water and quality growing practices to ensure freshness and consistency.

Quick Recipes to Get Started

Simple Avocado Toast

  • Toasted bread (best if using homemade or everything bread - In our opinion)

  • Mashed avocado

  • Smoked Hardboiled Egg (Optional - Add farm fresh eggs to your purchase)

  • Salt, pepper, drizzle of olive oil

  • Handful of microgreens on top

Fresh Microgreen Salad

  • Mixed microgreens

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • Olive oil + balsamic vinegar

  • Feta cheese (optional)

  • Grilled chicken (optional - inquire about our pasture raised meat poultry)

Egg & Microgreen Breakfast Bowl

  • Scrambled eggs

  • Roasted potatoes

  • Microgreens added on top after cooking

Fresh Microgreen Wrap

  • Tortilla

  • Grilled chicken, turkey, Salmon, or Brisket

Pan Fried Grilled Cheese

  • Homemade Bread, Sliced Bread, or Everything Bread

  • Butter or Bacon Grease (put this on one side of each slice of your choice of bread. Start it in the pan and then assemble your ingredients)

  • Fresh Basil (Microgreens section) or Dried Basil (We like this incorporated into the outside grilled area and inside the sandwhich)

  • Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese (part of inside sandwhich assembly add after the bread is slightly toasted.

  • Fresh Tomato Slices

  • Microgreens (Add after the Bread is already toasting but just before cheese is melting)

Pan Fried Pizza Bread

Use some creativity on your toppings and variations

  • Homemade Bread, Sliced Bread, or Everything Bread

  • Butter or Bacon Grease (put this on one side of each slice of your choice of bread. Start it in the pan, once one side is toasted then flip it and start to assemble your ingredients)
