F5 Farm - A Working Farm Where every visit supports something real

The Heart of F5 Farm - Kayce, Sugar & Cookie

We are a family of 5, not including the animals!

I’m Crystal—the dreamer and creator behind F5 Farm. I’m also a wife and mom to three amazing young men. Farming has been part of my life from the very beginning—literally. As a baby, I was bottle-fed right alongside a lamb. By the time I was little, I was already “helping” on the farm, and at four years old, I had a cow that followed me everywhere without a halter.

This life isn’t something I discovered later—it’s who I’ve always been.

F5 Farm exists because of that foundation—because of a lifelong connection to animals, land, and the kind of experiences that can only come from growing up this way. We built F5 Farm to share that experience with others.

When Tim and I met in high school, he had no idea what he was signing up for—but he’s been all in ever since.

Tim is my husband, my rock, and the one who brings everything together behind the scenes. He’s not one for the spotlight, but none of this would exist without him. He builds, fixes, and helps turn vision into reality every single day.

We truly are a team—and F5 Farm reflects both of us.

About F5 Farm – Oregon, IL

We purchased F5 Farm in the summer of 2025. From the very first visit, we knew there was something special here. The property included an early 1900s farmhouse, two metal buildings, and a barn with an attached extension—set among rolling hills and a mix of trees that immediately stood out.

Not just any trees—this land holds both an orchard and natural wooded areas. The kind of landscape where deer roam freely and wild turkeys settle in. It felt untouched in the best way, full of quiet life and potential.

We didn’t just buy a property—we chose to continue its story.

About the Barn

The barn dates back to the early–mid 1900s and is currently in need of restoration. At one point, it was on track to be torn down—but we saw something worth saving.

Preserving this barn is part of our mission. It represents the history of the land and the kind of craftsmanship that deserves to be carried forward.

There’s much more to its story—and to ours. If you visit, ask us about it. We believe the best stories are the ones shared in person.

From Our Farm to Your Table

Our mini cows aren’t just part of the farm—they’re at the center of the experience. Each one has a personality, a presence, and a role in the story we’re building.

They’re not just animals you look at—they’re part of what you’ll remember when you leave.

You may come for the farm—but you’ll remember them.
Our mini moos are part of the experience, the connection, and the heart of what makes F5 Farm special.

Disclaimer: Our mini moos are not part of our food program—they are part of the experience we share with our guests.

Beyond the experience, F5 Farm is also built on what we grow and raise to feed others.

We focus on fresh, nutrient-dense microgreens grown right here on the farm—harvested with care to bring quality, flavor, and real farm-grown value directly to your table.

We also raise chickens for farm-fresh eggs and are expanding into pasture-raised poultry as part of our commitment to producing food with purpose.

Our orchard is another important part of the farm. We have an abundance of apples during the summer and fall seasons, and we are continuing to expand with peach, plum, pear, and additional apple trees—planting for the future while building on what already thrives here.

This is how the farm continues beyond your visit—through products you can take home and trust.
